• UPC: 711574939015 • GENRE: Rock • RELEASE DATE: 12/1/2023 Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as "The Yellow Tape" because of it's yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first release of anything longer than a single. The release includes the original liner notes by Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering, and the record was pressed on special banana peel variant vinyl at Furnace Record Pressing.

Standard Returns & Restocking Fees

We accept returns within 30 days if you change your mind. To be eligible, items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, and in their original packaging. All change-of-mind returns (including new gear, used/vintage items, and sale items) are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs on change-of-mind returns. The original shipping cost will be deducted from the final refund, including orders that originally qualified for free shipping.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your guitar gear arrives defective, your vinyl record is warped, or a used item fails to meet our description, we will fully cover the return shipping costs and issue a 100% refund or exchange with no restocking fees applied. Please contact us immediately at sales@grassrootsmusicstore.com.

Return Authorization
To complete your return, you must contact our sales department via email or phone for an RMA return authorization number. We require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Refunds & Inspection
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your item and whether your refund is approved. If approved, your refund (minus any applicable restocking fees) will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a few business days.

Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company and your bank, as processing times vary. If you’ve done this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at sales@grassrootsmusicstore.com.

Exchanges

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If it wasn't marked as a gift, the refund will be issued to the original gift giver.
