Ships set-up and ready to play from Grassroots Music Store, your Authorized Fender Dealer.

The Fender California Malibu Special is a compact, small-body acoustic-electric guitar with a short scale length and comfortable feel that inspires new chords, melodies, and musical ideas. Featuring a solid mahogany top, back, and sides, it delivers a warm, balanced, and articulate tone with bold Fender styling that feels equally at home on stage or in the studio.

The mahogany neck features a comfortable, slim-taper C-shaped profile inspired by Fender’s electric guitars, offering a familiar feel for players of all styles. A pau ferro fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface, while the bone nut and saddle contribute to the guitar’s quality construction.

Equipped with Fender- and Fishman-designed electronics voiced specifically for the Malibu body shape, the Fishman Flex Body NT preamp system helps reproduce the guitar’s natural acoustic sound when plugged into an amplifier. With vintage-style tuning machines, a modern Viking bridge, and a satin finish, the Malibu Special combines distinctive looks, comfortable playability, and versatile amplified performance. A gig bag is included.
